Hi, Indian Liferay Community Members!
After contacting with several indian users, I've got the feedback about this idea that
Paul Hinz launched yesterday: why don't we create the Liferay India User Group?
This year I've been involved in the creation of the Liferay Spain User Group and in six months we are around 50 members, we have gathered in 4 different cities, we have started several interesting projects, and we are planning to do many cool things: the experience has been so nice that we want to spread this model to many other countries. I think India could be an awesome place to start this adventure promoting this kind of activities, but we need local expertise, local leaders.. and that's you!

What do you guys think about this cool idea? Do you think it is doable to create a group of people that gathers once every one or two months to share knowledge and experiences about Liferay? It would be a group of people that want to learn new things, a group of people that think about projects to improve Liferay, to create and share/sell new plugins or just to spread the word by presenting the project and looking for more pasionate developers in your country.
I can assure you that meeting passionate open source people is one the best experiences of participating in a community.
I hope you share your thoughts about this and I wait for your feedback!

Regards!
Juan Fernández
