Connecting Liferay With Exchange Server

New Member Mensajes: 17 Fecha de incorporación: 25/11/08 Mensajes recientes
HI All,
I have to access my exchange server i.e MS-Outlook using the liferay.
But the protocols like pop3,imap are blocked by the server.
Is there any other protocols i can use for accessing the mails from the outlook and display it on the portlets.
I read about MAPI protocol but that wil not work with JAVAMail API(which is internally used by Liferay).

PLease suggest me what to do.

Thanks
Amarshi

Maybe i have an idea how to solve that.

MS implemented the Exchange Webservice API for Exchange 2007 and above. There also exists several commercial Java APIs. Exchange 2003-2007 offers a webdav interface.

You might want to take a look at the NABUCCO Groupware app in the marketplace. This integrates Liferay and Exchange.
Cheers,

If you have no other solutions, you can try to integrate Outlook Webaccess with your portal, with SSO, WebProxy Portlet or iFrame portlet. I think it's possible to do this integration, but haven't tried it yet.
