AssetPublisher hook - Display Mode

Hi!
I modified the display of the Asset Publisher, by a hook modifying abstracts.jsp.
Sure, now everywhere the abstract view is used this is rendered by my custom jsp. But how can I do to add a new jsp / view mode that then be available in the asset puplisher configuration (as a Display Style in Display Settings?

The custom view works, however I'd like to have the same as in abstracts, that is the option to select length of the abstract.
Can that be added / configurated somewhere?
