That's because you've only changed the "default" permission. Default settings are only applied to new items. I suppose that there already are many posts are you don't want to go about changing settings on each one. You'll have to create a program to do the changes.

I don't mind creating a program.
Thing is, I don't how to go about creating such a program and I don't know where the permissions for the messages/threads/categories are stored.
When I look at the database I see that the tables (Permission_, etc.) are empty.

If the only thing I want to change, regarding permissions, is to reset the owner permissions to the new defaults I made, what do I need to change in the database?
