Exploded War in the webapps folder is missing

Hi All,
Problem is Exploded War in the webapps folder got removed automatically.
I want to know whether there is any possibility that exploded war would have been removed by liferay-tomcat during the restart of the server(i.e when we shutdown and start the server any possibility the exploded war been removed by server itself ).
Your help is very much appreciated in this regard.
