We are extending the beta testing period to Dec 28. This is because while testing the new Organizational hierarchies, we had to rewrite some pieces to make them more similar to how Communities works. That single ticket included several hundred file changes. To make sure there's less discrepancy between trunk and 4.4.x, we decided to sync the two on December 15. Since that date, only bug fixes have been checked into 4.4.x. All new features have been checked into trunk (bug fixes also make it into trunk of course).
This will increase overall quality while easening the burden of the release process. Thanks everyone.
