Social Office or Liferay Portal?

We're looking to consolidate everything and we'd be interested in having a social office portal. As of right now, would our best bet be to install Social Office and then add stuff like the WOL portlets? Or would we better off trying to add the social office portlets to a regular Liferay instance??? It's understood that we'll not get 100% functionality but we really need an integrated solution as we engage heavily in research. Any given research project may include both internal and external people. Our goal is to point people to a single web site for everything.

Hi Lisa,

As you may have discovered in the lastest release of Social Office (1.5 beta), some of the WOL functionality has been incorporated, chiefly the friend requests.

Did you also want to add the Wall and the JIRA / SVN integration?
