Why doesn't LR have a nice photo gallery?

I've been using LR personally for play, not work, for 7 years. One glaring feature missing is having a gallery that a studio, or artisian could use to display their work. I've wasted many hours trying to pretty up 'Media Display' or trying to have 'Asset Publisher' work.

I've used third party apps like 'Gallery' and 'Piwigo' with iframe. However, its just not as clean as I would like. Has anyone implemented a lightbox or some gallery app with 'Structure' and 'Template'? That should provide a nice solution for LR.
