Can anyone help me, I recently had to shutdown the liferay platform ever since some users see

Members' Activities is temporarily unavailable. on the Members' Activities portlet. tired to re-add it but its still not working.

What do the logs say encountering this issue?

using Liferay Portal Community Edition 6.0.5 CE (Bunyan / Build 6005 / August 16, 2010) ( I know it needs to be updated)

I am unsure on where to find the logs.

You should at least upgrade to the latest 6.0.6 version. It's available on
http://sourceforge.net/projects/lportal/files/Liferay%20Portal/6.0.6/

Using the tomcat bundle, you can check $TOMCAT_HOME/logs

I know, the network admin (who has left) broke the platform into sections for "security reasons".

So the platform will need to be rebuilt which is over my head.

I will get the error logs shortly.
