installation of liferay

sir i got a problem that when i run the command start-all.sh
in my ubuntu 14.04 then i dont get any info that server being started

use tail command to see logs in console.

if you are outsite bin, logs directory.. then run

tail -f ./logs/catalina.out

BTW, which liferay version you are using. If this is a bundle, which one?
