RE: Birthday in the directory

Hello,

I have recently created a simple intranet with liferay 6.05 and I have a small bug with the directory portlet.

In the account user and in the database the birthday is correct, but when I search for a user in the directory the birthday always appears minus one day.

For example if Joe Bloggs'real birthday is April 1st 2010. In the directory I will see as birthday March 30th 2010.

Is there a problem with de default configuration of the directory portlet?

This seems to be a bug in the portlet directory. Could you please fill a ticket in JIRA and post it here?

The problem seems to be related to the fact of using different Locales: the birthday date is propertly stored in the database like 18/02/1975 00:00:00. Then, when this is displayed to the user, it "adapts" that date to the user's display settings time zone, so in some cases, depending on the locale, it will say that it's birthday is: 17/02/1975 16:00:00.

As the bug is not related to AUI, i moved to a new ticket of Liferay Portal Community Edition: LPS-14628

thanks to you for responding, I will check the time zone.

I have another problem. When a user go to the panel control to configure his or her account, the personal phone numbers disappear almost everytime so we have to fill it again. Is it normal?
