Hi All,

I am very new to Liferay. I need to develop a portal sites using liferay. I have created two users with different roles (say user1,user2). I need to display different portlets for user1 and different portlets for user2.

For example : user1 have calendar portlet and user 2 have dictionary portlet.

Please provide the steps (how to customize portlets for user specific)

just go to the configuration for each portlet, to the permissions tab, and only grant the view permission to the right role(s). Do separately for each portlet.

Actually i would like to develop one dropdown which is having and showing all available portlets. Just like (Add-->more) option in the top left corner for admin user. And this dropdown option is for all users. Say "user1" can select a "portlet1" from the dropdown and use it , similaryly "user2" select "portlet2" and use it.
