Navigation entries without a physical page

What I'm currently missing is a way to create navigation entries that do not have a real page behind them but are only used for grouping subpages. If you create an empty page for this you always need to navigate to the subpages with two page loads - with direct support it would be possible to provide an 'AJAX' way of opening the submenu in the navigation portlet without any intermediate page load.

Hi Carsten,

it's possible to achieve with ootb functionality. You should change the layout type (inside manage pages) of the top page from "page" to "link to layout". Now you can select another page to link to e.g. lets assume the top element is "Sports" and the subpage is "Basketball". Now if you click on Sports you're directly navigating to the Basketball page.
