Upgrading Liferay CE from 6.2 GA1 to 6.2 GA2

Hi,

Can any body guide (brief steps) how to upgrade Liferay CE from 6.2 GA1 to 6.2 GA2. This will be a great help.

however the upgrade is not that complex between minor version changes, you can read the official document here, and apply all of the steps which you need.

Can anybody suggest improvements in the following upgrade methodology.

1. Shutdown the apache server
2. Copied/replaced portal dependencies to <tomcat>/lib/ext folder.
3. Downloaded liferay-portal-6.2-ce-ga2.war file and unzipped it.
4. Deleted all contents/folder from <tomcat>/webapps/ROOT folder, and copied all unzipped contents/folders to it.

I hope this is not a suggested upgrade methodology, and may have problems in the above workaround.

You can do that, I just miss the following steps between 1 and 2:

• Shutdown the app server
• Delete temporary files (work and temp folders in Tomcat)
