asset publisher template to show news

I want show news in asset publisher . a image title and a text field of content and read more and abstract.
now I couldnt show abstract and text filed , plz guide me.
I used getSummary(locale) but it did not useful because show all the content.

Which kind of article it is? Is it web content or any other componenet you used?

it is web content , and it has some fields and I fill out its abstract too

getSummary(locale) is use full but if there is no abstract content it show all conten. so I used hook
