Hi Everyone!

Is it possible to create something like http://jqueryui.com/slider/#range in Alloy UI. I.e. I need to specify maximal and minimal possible value, and then user narrows the range. Useful e.g. as a "Publication Year" facet in book search.
I have investigated Slider & Co., but it looks like they support just one value, not a range.

Thanks,

Jozef.

Hi Jozef,

Unfortunately, we currently don't have anything in alloyui or portal that can mimic that functionality. We are working on adding type slider to our aui:input taglib https://issues.liferay.com/browse/LPS-46769. I will talk to the guys about adding the option of two input types. In the mean time, you can use the yui slider module to create two sliders (one for minimum value and one for maximum value) to get the range from the user. I have created a jsfiddle http://jsfiddle.net/0ow4gn67/9/ to better illustrate what I'm talking about. Let me know if you have any questions.
