How to restrict user of particular domain to register

I need to restrict register only to particular domain. Like i want register allowd only to user with domain @xyz.com.

Hi,
sorry i don't have much idea on it but, i think you can achieve this by a hook. In hook try to modify the code to allow the user to enter specified domain email while registration.

hope it gives some idea on what to do..

You can do the same from Control Panel -> Settings -> Authentication

Tick the check box against -> Allow strangers to create accounts with a company email address?

go to Control Panel ->Settings ->General
Set the mail domain to xyz.com

I have done what you have suggested but even though i am allow to logging with different user than what i have set in mail domain.

Am i doing some mistake over there ?

Hmm,

I remember doing this when i was in old company in 2008 with 5.1.2 and then it was working. Right now its not working and there is a ticket raised for the same in JIRA but it is still open

No, I think this should be reported. Since the functionality is already there. There is no point recreating logic twice
If you are using EE you should definitely get patch

If you are using EE version, there would be some point of Contact from Liferay support side. You can call him and tell him about the urgency of the bug and report the same in their JIRA.(You need to have customer credentials )
