In Liferay 6.1, communities are being renamed to sites. We are intending to use Liferay so that our users can create multiple communities to collaborate together on projects and areas of interest. The term "community" for a group of users working and collaborating together fits in very well with our requirements and I am concerned that the renaming of communities to sites may indicate a change in direction for Liferay that may not fit with our needs. Can anyone tell me:
What is the reason for this name change. Does it indicate a change in direction for Liferay development?
Will there be a change in functionality to accompany this change, e.g. a limitation of the number of communities that can be created?
