Hi all,

I have a scenario, there i have to give role to user group
Can we assign a role to user group? is it possible how?
I gone thorugh many documents but I have some confusion...
Can any one briefly tell me regarding usergroup.

Hi Jaid,

yes we can emoticon.

In the control panel navigate to the roles section, select the role you want to modify, then click on "Actions -> Assign members". In the following screen switch to the user group tab, switch to the available sub-tab and select the appropriate user group for this role.

Hi Oliver,

Here i am facing one problem, I want to give organization admin role to usergroup
But in Organization admin role action tab button I am not getting Assgin member option in action tab.
custom Role and I am getting Assgin member but in Organization admin Role I am not getting Assgin member option.

Can you please help in this regard....

Hi Jaid

Any regular role will have option to assign member however organization admin role can be assigned to user by first assigning the user to the organization then click on -Action->assign Organization role to the user.

You cannot assign organization role to UserGroup .
liferay only allows regular role to be assigned to UserGroup. You can define the permission to the Role (your own regular role ) and assign it to USERGROUP.
