Is liferay restrict URL having special Characters Like "("

Hi,

Please some one help me to resolve this issue.

I have issue accessing URLs with special Character in liferay.
Problem is when i hit the URL having special sign it giving exception as "Internet Explorer Can not display the webpage" . I tested it in all browsers, all restricting the access. URL i'm using is similar to this:
http://mydomainname/cadocs/1/Bookshelf_Files/HTML/LPCTSTRGetRemotePassword(void_3.html?fromKBResultsScreen=T

I'm using Liferay tomcat enterprise edition - "liferay-portal-6.0-ee-sp1".

My question is, is liferay have any security restrictions to block the URLs having special characters? if so how to bypass that?
