Multiple Portal Instances Configuration

Hi,

I am not able to configure multiple portal instances.

I am using Liferay 6.1 GA2 bundled with tomcat on Windows platform and having hard time configuring multiple instances.

What I understand it is a two step config.

Giving the virtual host name in /etc/hosts file in

here is what I have in mine

# localhost name resolution is handled within DNS itself.
# 127.0.0.1 localhost
# ::1 localhost
127.0.0.1 amr.xyz.com
127.0.0.1 amr2.xyz.com



And then add a portal instance with this virtual host -

So my
web id is - amr2.xyz.com
virtual host is - amr2.xyz.com
mail domain - csc.com

But it is not working.

Do I need to do some more config. Is there any post that can help me resove this.

Hello Yogesh,

Try mapping your host entry with your machine IP instead 127.0.0.1.
