My portal crashes with this message. I'm using Liferay CE 6.0.6. What is the meaning of this message? That the portal cannot connect database (mysql)? I read in a liferay forum post (http://www.liferay.com/community/forums/-/message_boards/message/5041762) that was helpful to use these parameters:
jdbc.default.maxIdleTime=3600
counter.connection.heartbeat.job.interval=30
but it doesn't work for me. Any suggestion to understand the reason?

More information.
Liferay+tomcat are the backend, the frontend is an httpd server that in this case generates this error:
[Mon Oct 22 05:23:51 2012] [error] (70007)The timeout specified has expired: ajp_ilink_receive() can't receive header
[Mon Oct 22 05:23:51 2012] [error] ajp_read_header: ajp_ilink_receive failed
[Mon Oct 22 05:23:51 2012] [error] (120006)APR does not understand this error code: proxy: read response failed from

There is not any other error. The result of linux top command is something like this:
