Social office prevents portlet instance creation

I'm facing a known problem, but I can't understand how to solve it.

Trying to create a new portal instance I get the following exception:
com.liferay.portal.NoSuchRoleException: No Role exists with the key {companyId=..., name=Social Office User

I read that this problem has been solved in http://issues.liferay.com/browse/SOS-1179,
however I don't know how (alternatively):
a) to apply the solution
b) to get around the problem

a) Is there a place where I can find a patch specific to this problem ?
I checked the patch collection in
http://www.liferay.com/community/forums/-/message_boards/view_message/17678665
but this is not included, if I'm not wrong.

b) I would try to uninstall SO, then create the portal instance, then re-install SO.
Does it work ?
However, I used a lot the wysiwyg portlet (part of SO), so I fear that uninstalling it will delete all my wysiwyg portlets.
What do you suggest ?

You can wait until the next release of social office becomes available, obtain EE license which will entitle you to download recent patches, or find a way to fix it yourself.
