Hi,

As per my project requirement i have to manage Document library portlet

Requirement is There are 3 users and 3 types of Documents (Maths ,Physics,Chemistry)
1.Teaching Staff( (Maths,Physics,Chemistry users) => all permissions on their corrusponding documents only
2.Valuator => only download and discussions permission
3.Data Entry =>only download permission

and Maths users can have all permissions on Maths Documents only but not view remaining documents
Physics users can have all permissions on Maths Documents only but not view remaining documents
Chemistry users can have all permissions on Maths Documents only but not view remaining documents

How can i organize this by using roles and permissions in Liferay??/

Hi , the "site content" and "site application" is the scope of the roles.
If you select site content, the Role scope would be a specifically Site content (with ist pages), and a Site Application scope would include the whole application..

Regards!
