Liferay Sync Client for 6.2

Hello,

My firm is working on an intranet site, targeting the 6.2 release of the Liferay Portal. We would like to test and include the ability to upload documents to the site via Liferay Sync, and have tested it against the 6.1 GA2 release. From what I've read, it appears at the present time that there's no testable beta of the Sync client that will work against 6.2. Is that correct? If so, are there any plans to release a beta of the Sync client prior to the release of the 6.2 Portal? Or will the new Sync client be available at the same time as the 6.2 release?

We are releasing 1.1.2 very soon (next week or two) it is not 6.2 compatible, but our next release scheduled for mid February will be the 6.2 compatibility.

From the Liferay download, I see that it still shows version 1.1.1. I have a client waiting for Sync compatible with 6.2. Could you please let me know, if we will be able to make it by 15-Feb-2014 (Mid Feb) with compatibility to 6.2 ?
So we can plan accordingly.

When will LifeRay Sync be released that has support for LifeRay 6.2. Based on this forum, I was expecting mid-end February 2014, but we are nearing the end of March and I have not seen even a beta release announced.

Nevermind...I just downloaded Liferay Sync v1.2.0-ga1 and it seems to work fine on my Windows 8.1 64-bit laptop connecting to Liferay v6.2 CE GA1.

Please note, Sync 1.2.1 GA2 will be released next week which fixes several issues found in Sync 1.2.0. (Issues fixed)

Hello driss.

Have you tried the SMC's CalDAV plugin? With it, I could manage events from Mozilla Thunderbird + Lightning. I suppose Outlook would support CalDAV as well and so would work properly.

If you have not tried it, take a look and give us some feedback!

Do you know if you are using an SSO solution to log into your portal? Is your portal running 6.1 or 6.2?

Hm ... my guess is that Sync is confused and thinks your server is running 6.1. Did you recently upgrade your server from 6.1 to 6.2? And if so, did you run Sync before you upgraded? Sync should be able to detect when you upgrade from 6.1 to 6.2, but there's likely a bug somewhere in the detection process.

Can you zip up and send me your configuration folder (found at ~/.liferay-sync)? I can tell for sure whether it's an issue with thinking it's a 6.1 folder. You should also try deleting/moving the configuration folder so Sync will start fresh and see if it can properly connect.

I know that liferay sync is calling the web services with the word "secure" in the path, but the documentation of Liferay 6.2 does not show this word in the path. I think the problem is in this way.

I haven't found any solution to my problem and I will apreciate any help. My Liferay Lync version is the 1.2.2 GA3 in Windows 7.

I didn't know that did not come by default and I had not installed. After installing the lar, Sync worked without problem, thank you for your help and sorry to bother you with this simple problem.
