Using JasperReports server with JasperReports EE and Reports EE plugin

Hi All,

We are planning to use Jasper reports for rendering reports within liferay. I came to know that JasperReports EE and Reports EE plugin can be used for this purpose. From design consideration I would need to know if JasperReports server should be setup separately to take into consideration the scaling and performance aspects? And if so, how will these plugins interact with JasperReports server to render the reports as you specify the datasource and jrxml only as far as i know.
