how do i get the full url when inserting an image into a document?

when using the ckeditor to modify/create it creates the url as such:
/documents/10482/11560/sample+offer.png/35777bd3-1fcd-4534-89f7-814fe39b98f0?t=1326143903238
what i need to get is the full url like
http://www.testdomain.com/documents/10482/11560/sample+offer.png/35777bd3-1fcd-4534-89f7-814fe39b98f0?t=1326143903238

could some one point me in the right direction for this?
