only Administrator can add/edit asset publisher items

Hi all,

In a Liferay v6.1.2 CE, I have asset publishers where it would seem only Administrators can add/edit items.

If a non-Administrator tries to add/edit, they get something like the below.

Not Found

Hi

Do You Have any specific configuration in Your Liferay? This is fresh instance of Liferay? I have few instances of liferay 6.1.2 ce with asset publishers on it and non-admin users are able edit items.

Maybe You are missing some permissions that allow user to add or edit this particular item - Webcontent or any other displayed by asset publisher portlet?

Thanks for your response.

On further testing, it seems non-Admin users cannot access their control panel at all. I didn't catch this initially given my theme only allows the Administrator to see the dock bar. I had thought it was only an issue with the asset publisher - given add/edit brings up a pop-up window that points to the control_panel.

I upgraded a v5.2.3 to v6.0.6 then to v6.1.1 GA2 then to v6.1.2 GA3

There is a similar issue here where it appears upgrade from v6.1.1 to v6.1.2 didn't auto-run the verify

As per LPS-39712 I have tried setting below in properties, and restarting...

verify.frequency=-1

but am now getting many errors including doc lib filenotfound exceptions that stop the verify process and then leave the lportal db in a bad state...

(I now also see this thread should be in "1. Installation / Deployment / Setup" )

Hi Raphael, for my project we have upgraded to EE v6.2 SP4 and problem is no longer there. Sorry I can't be of more specific help in the environment I had the problem in.

We've upgraded from 6.1.1 CE to 6.1.2 CE, and we're having the same problem.

Have we upgrade to 6.2?
