chat portlet buddy list

Hi,


I downloaded the liferay-chat-portlet version 6.1.1 ga2 ce.

I received an lpkg file which I then deployed an the liferay chat worked properly.

Now, I need to chat only with site members.

As per the portlet.properties file we need to chat the property buddy.list.strategy=sites

After deployment the lpkg file got extracted into the tomcat webapps folder as chat-portlet.

Now, I manually changed the chat-portlet's portlet.properties and then saved the file, and redployed the portlet.

The changes are not visible.

I can still see all the users's in the buddy list of chat-portlet.

Please help
