How to change the company.default.name

Hi,
How do I change company.default.name property after liferay tables are formed?
This is really urgent.
Shall I delete all the tables so that liferay creates them again and consequently the company.default.name changes. Or is there a better way to do it?

Hi,

There is no need to delete any Liferay tables. You can set it from Liferay Control Panel > Configurations > Portal Properties. There you will find "Name (Required)". You can change it from there.


Also you can add portal-ext properties "company.default.name changes" & add you name directly to there.

.. that would only take effect the next time you create a portal instance though. To change an existing instance name (so that future instances that are created use the value) you would need to go to the portal settings page in the control panel. There you will find a Name (Required) field that you can update.
