authentication using openSSO

Hi
i am trying to implement SSO using openSSO.
My OpenSSO & Liferay are deployed at same instance of Tomcat server.
i changed the settings throgh Enterprise Admin -> Settings -> Aunthentication -> openSSO.

There is an issue -
When i login it goes to openSSO login screen.
the after i login using credentials it redirects me to again liferay homepage but no authentication is done , i mean , i am still a guest user in liferay.

any idea or clue will be highly aprreciated.

I have opensso integratrion working with 5.2 but now everytime I insert my portal URL I become directly redirected to the opensso
isn't there a way to first come to a startpage instead of directly become landed at the opensso page?
