Contacts Portlet Email Group

I am using the contacts portlet to send email to a group using the 'Email Group' option. If the group contains a large number of recipients ~140, the message body doesn't display properly for MS Outlook clients (tested versions 2002 and 2003). The message appears fine for in web mail for the same recipients. Also, if the group size is down around 50 recipients, the message body appears fine.

I realize that this is likely an Outlook limitation, but I am curious if anyone else has seen this behavior? Also, would there be a quick fix to split the recipient list into groups of ~25 if it exceeded a certain limit to prevent this issue?
