Site Pages Variations Question

Is that normal that all pages from all site pages variations are published in the " live" website?

For example, I create the pages variation #1 and add page A.
I publish pages variation #1 to live.
Then I create pages variation #2 and add page B (page A is disabled).
I publish pages variation #2 to live.
Now, if I check the Live website, both page A & B are visible.

Is that a normal behaviour? If yes, then why would I use Site pages variations and not just page variations?

I'm using Liferay 6.1 RC1.

Thank you!

It's not normal!

When publishing, only ONE site variation should be selected and pages from that variation published.

Oh, BUT published pages not in a variation are not removed on publish unless you ask missing pages to be removed!

Thank you for your answer Ray!

I tried checking the "Delete missing pages" checkbox but this doesn't work anyway. Here's all the steps to create the problem:

Create site -> Blank site
Go in Site Settings (under your new Website)
Go to Staging, choose Local Live,
Check "Enabled on Public Pages" too.
And press Save

Click on "Site Pages" (under site settings in the left menu bar)
Click on "Add Page" and add a page named "Home Page"
Click on the "tool" icon and click on Publish to Live Now, click on Select, then on Publish (and ok in the JavaScript validation box)
In the top toolbar, at the right, click on "Go to" and then on your test site

You now have a blank site with staging enabled.

Click on "Staging"
Click on the little arrow at the right of "Staging"
Click on "Manage Site Pages Variations"
Click on "Add Site Pages Variation"
Name it "Version #2" and click on Add

Click on Main Variation.
Click on "Add", Page.
Add a page name "Only in main variation"
Click on the "Version #2" variation
Add a page named "Only in version #2"

Click on "Main Variation"
Click on the arrow at the right of "Main Variation"
Click on "Publish Main Variation Live Now"
Click on Change Selection
Choose "Home Page" and "Only in main variation"
Click on Select
Click on Publish

In the live section, you now have Home Page and Only in main variation.

Go to Staging.
Click on Version #2
Click on the little arrow at the right of "Version #2"
Click on Publish Version #2 Live Now
Click on "Change Selection"
Choose only the pages "Home Page" and "Only in version #2"
Click on Publish

Go in the Live Website
You now have both "Only in main variation" and "Only in version #2".

I tried everything and I was not able to remove the page "Only in main variation".
Is this a bug?

What I tried :
Go to Staging
Click on the little arrow beside "Version #2"
Click on "Publish Version #2 Live Now"
Click on "Change Selection"
Check only "Home Page" and "Only in version #2"
Click "Select".
Check the "Delete Missing Pages" check box"
Click on Publish

Go in the Live Website
"Only in main variation" is still there
