Web content portlet not working properly

I am working in liferay 6.0.6. When i copy any data in Web Content Portlet and clicks on publish button nthng happens.Data is not getting published.Only Cancel button is working in Web Content Portlet.

Does anyone know about this issue?? Please reply.

That content may be going thru a workflow. Check in control panel that web content should be in pending state.. ??

I have seen in Control Panel.It is not showing tht content in control panel.
Is it OS issue?? I am using windows XP.

Samita, have you checked the version of web content after publishing it ? as I saw there is a problem of confirmation message.
