Hi everyone!

I am using Liferay 6.0.6 and have the Liferay language all in English. Now I want to localize the language to Finnish, but every time for example I go to a Web Content, localize it to Finnish and save it and then go back to the same content, I see the Language field is still English and only the Default Language field has remained Finnish (snapshot attached below). Why the Language field rolls back to English option?

For the localization described above, I went to Control Panel -> Web Content -> Edit (the selected web content.); but when I try to do the localization by directly going to a page and the edit icon below the page content, I get the following error message on the development tool's console plus a list of JAVA files related to localization:



Why is that?

Problem solved. I just had to change the site's language from English to Finnish through 'MY Public Pages' -> Language settings. Even an older question, the Title and Publish Date of an asset publisher got sovled this way and now it is in Finnish without a need for creating Finnish language hook.

Liferay is for the most part localized in Finnish. There are some parts that are missing or incorrect so we do accept contributions.
