If I have a document sync'd to Liferay using Liferay Sync, can I open the document for editing from within Liferay or do I have to find and open the version of the file on local filesystem? In other words, does Liferay Sync provide a form of inline editing for Office documents?

If you edit the document in your local folder, your changes will automatically be uploaded to the portal.

If you edit the document elsewhere, you can click edit on the file in the portal, and then choose your new version, that new version will then be downloaded to your local folder.

So the answer is either. Sync just uploads your local changes and downloads changes made on the portal.

Can you describe the steps our users would go through to edit a document from Liferay (as opposed to editing from their local folder)? Our users are used to the convenience of SharePoint's inline editing feature and I'm trying to determine if Sync will provide a similar experience. Thanks.
