Dear users,

I have a question about the deployment within the Tomcat/Liferay environment of a non-liferay WAR.

When I autodeploy a WAR within the deploy directory of my Tomcat installation, I get the following message in my console:

09:14:35,767 INFO [pool-2-thread-1][HotDeployImpl:178] Deploying asimba from queue
09:14:35,768 INFO [pool-2-thread-1][PluginPackageUtil:1033] Reading plugin package for asimba
09:14:35,769 WARN [pool-2-thread-1][PluginPackageUtil:1131] Plugin package on context asimba cannot be tracked because this WAR does not contain a liferay-plugin-package.xml file

I think I receive this message because asimba is a non-liferay WAR. And so, it has no liferay-plugin-package.xml file inside it. My question is, if there is a way, so I can deploy my WAR without seeing the above message. Perhaps it is doable with a liferay-plugin-package.xml file or is it possible to create two autodeploy directories, one for Liferay WAR files, and one for non-Liferay WAR files? If there is a way, I would like to know and I would like to know how I can realize it.

Thanks,

Marc

Just drop the war in the webapps folder as one normally would. The Liferay deploy folder should be used for Liferay artifacts; since your artifact is not a Liferay artifact, don't use Liferay's deploy folder.

Is it a portlet? If it is, does it strictly comform to JSR 286 specification.
