Hello everyone,

I have installed Liferay 6.0.3.

I have a javascript problem with the Alloy UI Calendar Component (eg. "create account") when I use Internet Explorer (any version).
When I load the page I receive the following message:

Out of memory at line: 164

Is this a bug or a configuration problem?

I have deployed a local version of 6.0.3 and I am getting an "Out of Memory at Line: 279" error when using IE8 for creating a Web Content. This does not occur in FF 3.6, Safari 5, or Chrome 5. When using Opera 10, there is no error message, but the editor toolbars do not appear. Logged in using the Bruno credentials.

Hello,

great that liferay 6 release is finally out!

I am currently testing 6.0.3 with glassfish.

Unfortunately with IE8 (windows 7) I am also getting the following error randomly:

Message from wepage: Out of Memory at Line: 279
Message from wepage: Stack overflow at line: 117

In addition to that main navigation bar submenus do not work (they are rendered to the side and cannot be selected using IE8).

I do not have any of these problems with firefox or chrome.

Same here.

I have tried Firefox, Safari and Chrome without any problem.
Whenever I use IE 7 or IE8, I will have either Out of Memory or Stack overflow error.

However, it seems like the user can still archive when he is doing with the above error.

I saw that removing the tag (ex: in the webcontent form)

"<form action ="<%= action%>" class = "AUI-form <% = cssClass%> <% = inlineLabels? "AUI-field-labels-inline" StringPool.BLANK%> "id ="<%= namespace + name%>" name ="<%= namespace + name%> <% = _buildDynamicAttributes (dynamicAttributes)%>>"

that the error does not appear.

Maybe there is something wrong with the js called by the taglib?

I'm using Tomcat bundle of Liferay 6.0.5 on Windows XP with IE6 and with Firefox and not experiencing any problem.

May be you can tell us your environment.

Tomcat bundled with Liferay 6GA3, Win7 IE8. I have no problems adding/updating content in Firefox, but IE we all get the stack overflow at line 117 error.

BTW, did you apply the 2 patches mentioned above? GA3 still doesn't have these implemented so they have to be manually applied still.

hi,

The issue got Resolved in liferay6.0.4 or later versions. It is working fine with IE8 on windows 7 and Windows XP & may be in vista also. I want to know some details like,

1) Operating Systems
2) Browser Name with version
3) Liferay version

Any chance someone can help me with this? It has been a couple weeks with no response, so I just wanted to check because we are still experiencing the same issue. I provided my platform and versioning information.

I know this post says "RESOLVED" but I'm having a similar problem on Liferay 6.05 (JBoss bundle). I've built several portlets using jQuery plugins and when I have each portlet on a single page everything works correctly. The problem occurs when adding another portlet within the same page. I keep getting: "Stack Overflow at line: 172" however, this only happens when using IE.

Any ideas? should I start a new post...?

hi Stephanie Borrer,

I have tested with liferay 6.0.4 & above with IE8&IE7 . It was working fine. And the Operating System is Windows Vista & Winodws7. As far i concern, the problem may be with two thinks
1) Check IE version (Help->About Internet Explorer)
2) The upgradation of liferay to 6.0.5 is not done properly.(Better to do this once again)

I think you are all wrong. This error is the result of having no more virual memory left in the browser.

You can easily test it with a virtual machine and little memory.

I don't have a solution for it. Memory usage while browsing a Liferay portal goes up and up. In IE aswell as in Firefox.

Yes it might be due to some property setting but we are using the defaults here that came with Liferay 6.0.5.
