A generic question on portability - Does Liferay support JSR 286? Would a JSR 286 compliant portlet developed for, say Weblogic, work seamlessly in Liferay?

A more specific question -
I'm developing Portlets in Weblogic Portal 10 for consumption in mobile devices (using Weblogic's Client Classification scheme). Given that Weblogic uses inline JSP tags ("<client>") to deliver device specific content, how easy/difficult it is to port these portlets to run on Liferay?

Yes, Liferay supports JSR 286 specification and JSR 286 portlet written for Weblogic should work on Liferay provide you are not using/depending on any weblogic specific feature/API.
