how to search data

Am building a job portal, where in the professional users is given an option of searching the job based on four fields (job_type,job_level,job_category,industry). wherin he can select single or multiple fields . Based on the input we have to map the jobs table and fetch the data . Please give your suggestions .

i had of requirement of searching using 2 fields i had used finder tags returning collection, now since the number of fields are increasing the finder tags are increasing. Is this the right way to do it or there is other way round.
