Change Liferay host

Hi all
I have liferay which bundled with tomcat, deploy on ROOT.
Can I move them to an existing tomcat on another host and deploy as http://<host>:<port>/liferay ?

Liferay version 6.2.0 CE GA1

Yes to both, although the second one leads to some weird crap sometimes for the portlets and portal communications.
