Best practices for end users changing color schemes or portal theme

We have a customizable page for our portal users, who have the Power User role. These users can add, remove or drag portlets in the page and those changes are persisted as portal preferences.

We need to have these users change the color scheme or theme of the page. For example, user 1 can have a different background color of Page 1, than user 2.

Is this possible ? If yes, are there any best practices around the same ? We are using Liferay 6.1 GA2.

Thanks !
Rito

check out session click, which can save a setting for each logged in user. Then add the color scheme css class to the body or html element. Then style your css targeting each color scheme.

Thanks Brad. I actually tried looking up a relevant blog of yours but I think it was removed. The point which I was coming to was, we are using a single, customizable portal page for the end users. Would color scheme per-user apply in that case ?
