Connecting Hibernate with Liferay

Hi,
I want to connect my DB with Liferay-Vaadin portlet application. So, I need to put my hibernate configuration file in my project. Can anyone tell where i want to put those files( folder path). I put it simply in WEB-INF folder . But it is not working.
