Liferay 6.2 Demo Documents and Media

Run the demo on a system with no internet causes the Documents and Media portlet search feature to fail.

This dependcy is in the Shared Office plugin, I'm told.

Install Liferay Developer Studio, fork Liferay-plugins from github, use the “plugin to extend a plugin” method to extend Social Office plugin with to user a local jQuery copy.

Does this plan sound correct?

The "plugin to extend a plugin" concept is for one where you do not have the source for the plugin. If you can get the SO plugins source, you should not have to go the extending a plugin route.

You would use the extending a plugin route for, say, a plugin which you've downloaded from the marketplace where you might not have the source to build a native project.

I'll try to get the source then.

Out of the box demo system create some regular orginzations with default site none of the Documents and Media buttons or search work with proxy internet access.

I now have a clean log using the system-ext-properties values for my internet proxy but Documents and Media still does not work.

My proxyHost IP address is different.
