What is the different plone with liferay?

Many governments and company use the Plone as the CMS. Which one is better for CMS purpose?

Depends on the requirements.. If you plan to go opensource, check out Liferay and Alfresco.

I want to do the knowledge management, I know some people suggest to use alfresco do the integration with liferay. I see the plone have many government to use it, but it uses the python.
