Impersonate User not working in Liferay 6.0.5

Hi all,
I am using virtual host (created a community) where I try to impersonate a user (say test123) from adminuser. When I click on ImpersonateUser, a new window is opened and the home page is getting displayed with the user logged in as test123, which is correct. Also the URL has the parameter doAsUserId appended. But when I click on any other URL in that page, it gets redirected to the respective page with admin login. Impersonation breaks here - I don't find the doAsUserId in that URL.
I am not sure if I am missing anything here. Also anyone please let me know if I should manually add the doAsUserId parameter to all my URLs using PortalUtil.addPreservedParameters(). Thanks in advance.
