ImageMagick settings for preview generation in 6.1

Hello everyone,

preview generation in 6.1 is an awesome feature. Unfortunately, ImageMagick kills my server sooner or later. The portal runs fine for some time until memory usage of "convert" (ImageMagick, right?) goes up, taking all memory available and also swapping some gigabytes to disk. The portal as well as my SSH connection becomes very very unresponsive at this time and and the portal doesn't deliver any site.

Do you guys have some ImageMagick settings for me to try?

My setup:
Liferay CE 6.1 GA1 on a
64bit CentOS 5.7 with 4GB Ram (2GB for Tomcat).
Open JDK 1.6
ImageMagick 6.7.5-6
Ghostscript 8.70-6.el5_7.6
OpenOffice 3.1.1-19.5.el5_5.6

Thank you in advance and best Regards!

You should be able to limit the resource imagemagic consumes by setting some environment variables.
