Taxonomy : is hierarchy of tags possible ?

Hi

I am looking at the taxonomy support / "Tags admin" portlet in Liferay, and I would like to use this to build a dynamic Journal driven page.

I want to have the following categories for tags : news, environment, for press, products
For the news tag category, I would like to have the tags foreign and domestic.
And then for the "foreign" tag, I would like tags like europe, north-america, south-america and so on.
And then for the "europe" tag I would like albania, belgium, denmark and so on.

From what I can see now, it is not currently supported to have a "hierarchy of tags".
To me it seems like there is only support for "two levels", i.e. category and tag.

Does the taxonomy support in Liferay support a hierarchy of tags, with the hierarchy depth greater than two ?

This would limit me to support only a top level meny structure (the tag categories), and a one level left menu, listing the tags of the tag category chosen in the top menu.

Any input is appreciated.
If you have other ways of dynamically generate a web page, so that the editors do not have to make a lot of pages manually and add portlets to them, feel free to guide me in the correct direction.
