Communities URL separation

I have two communities in Liferay 6.0 EE SP1: c1 and c2. c1 is my organization community and c2 is another organization community. c1 and c2 have not hierarchical or any other relationships in the Portal .

c1 (and the Portal) url is www.c1.com and c2 path is www.c1.com/c2. Thus, c2 must be accessed after c1 has been accessed. This hierarchy does not make sense for the business.

It is possible to separate the domains c1 and c2 in the same instance of Liferay? In other words, can I access c1 at www.c1.com and c2 at www.c2.com?

Best regards

You can have separate virtual hosts for different communities. In 6.1 you can locate it from Control Panel -> Site Settings -> Site URL. I can't remember the exact path to the page in 6.0 but it's something like this Control Panel -> Pages -> Settings -> Virtual host and in there set the public virtual host

In Liferay 6.0 is a little bit different, but I made it as wiki do Liferay suggests. I did that:

1.) c1 public page:

www.c1.com

2.) c2 public page:

www.c2.com

3.) I've changed my hosts for testing purpose:

127.0.0.1 localhost
127.0.0.1 www.c1.com
127.0.0.1 www.c2.com

4.) And added proxy bypassers at browser.

Tks

Rodrigo, can I assume that this issue is now resolved or are you still experiencing some problem? The steps you've taken seems to be right.
