How can we do the Content Archieving. to display only latest article

Hai to every one.

i got a requirement like,i want to display only the latest article in Article tab of journal portlet.

Support for example one article with three version is existed in Database.but right now all the versions of article is displaying journal portlet.But i need to display only the latest version of article in portlet pages.

How can i achieve this.is there any concept like content archieveing to achieve this.

if any help be appreciated.your suggestions are welcome.
